Bach's Birthday Iowa City

The First Annual Iowa City Bach’s Birthday (his 338th) will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, and feature a diverse range of “The Old Wig’s” music.

Jean Littlejohn will perform the Fantasia and Fugue in g minor, BWV 542 on organ;

Nathan Carterette will play the Prelude and Fugue in b minor, WTC Book I, and the Chromatic Fantasy.

Nicole Esposito and Nathan join forces for the Flute Sonata in G,

and Stephen Swanson, baritone, and Courtney Miller, oboe will perform the entire Cantata BWV 82, Ich habe genug.

Free will donation accepted, with a birthday party and cake following the concert.

Piano Sunday at the Old Capitol

The piano music of Quentin Kim (Four Preludes and Variations on an Ancient Korean Melody) in the House Chamber of the Old Capitol, Iowa City. I will be joined by Klyde Ledamo and Jenna Salliman, playing Chopin and Beethoven, as well as Dr Uriel Tsachor, playing stunning transcriptions of Brahms orchestral works.
